Hammerstein of Abc Warriors new model kit

Not posted for a long time but I have just purchased this brand new Hammerstein from the ABC Warriors.
This resin model comes in 20 cream resin parts which are nicely cast with minimum mould lines which are easily scraped away with the back of a hobby knife.
You can build the kit in 2 versions, the Black Hole storyline with Hammerstein's half face blown away and wires exposed, or head without helmet.
Also there is an option to build with 2 shoulder armour pads or 1 with different shaped wire "hair" to attach.
I will be building with 2 shoulder pads with Black Hole head.
All parts in the pics have been cleaned up and drilled, with pins attached ready for parts to be glued in place.
Model is in 1/8th scale and stands about 12" tall and weighs about 2kg and is priced £97, see EBay for availability.

See pics below of parts and primed build with different versions.

Dredd bust part 2

On to the Dredd bust then.
Once sprayed with primer I found some very small pinholes on top pd the helmet as well as the slight mould line on the back of the body and helmet.
The moud line was filled with millionth fine and for the pin holes I used Vallejo putty wiped on with a cotton bud.
Once dry rubbed down with fine wet and dry and primed again.
All ready for painting.

Dredd kit all done

Finished the Latest Dredd kit fantastic size, much bigger than I initially thought for 1/6th scale figure.
The guy I made it for wanted it darker colours so I redid the leathers and greenery in darker shades.
The arms and legs haven't been glued on as will send it in and many parts as possible so Posty doesn't smash t up as it's off to Sweden.
Highly recommended kit.

New Dredd bust

Got this new Dredd bust the other day from Fantasy Realms.
Cast in solid resin in 4 parts it stands 12"" tall.
Very nice casting here with on ly a small ridge on the back of helmet.
Also comes with a length of chain for the badge.

Back on it

So after an age of personal issues stopping me from modelling I have restarted the Dredd kit project.
He he is , roughly assembled before final touch ups.
The guy who I am building for wants the body darker and boots/ gloves darker.
Not quite sure how to do this, going to take some thought...

New Judge Dredd kit commision

Here's my latest commission of the new 1/6th scale Dredd kit.
It consists of 20 very cleanly cast resin parts and a length of chain for the badge.
Next step is to clean up the mold lines and drill the parts for pinning and fill any in perfections.
Check back soon for progress.
